There are no specific reasons for poverty. However, we can see some reasons that might be helping poverty.

There are multiple types of poverty:

• Absolute poverty:

• Urban Poverty:

It occurs in metropolitan areas with a population of over 100,000.

• Little or no social safety net.

According to Islam, poverty is a dangerous social problem because it is a potential threat to the peace and stability of society.

We cannot find a quick and direct solution to poverty unless we gradually start avoiding it. Adopt some measures to avoid poverty…

Here are some ways you can help the poor in your own little way:

1. Raise Awareness About Poverty

Despite so many people living in extreme poverty, there are still many who have no idea what it really is to be poor. Maybe they’ve only heard about it in church lectures or seen it in documentaries. It’s no surprise that many people think that the only thing the poor need is money, when in reality, poverty comes with a host of problems.

This is why it is important to raise awareness about the true face of poverty. It is important to tell people that poverty does not just mean lack of money. It’s also about being voiceless, having less opportunities and not having access to a lot of things.

2. Provide Them With Opportunities

Many of us blame the poor for our condition. We often label them lazy or too careless to dream of a better life. But you see, most of the time, people living in extreme poverty are the hardest working people you will ever meet. They often have the toughest jobs and work from dawn to dusk.

However, they do not have opportunities. Because many of them have limited access to education, their employment options are also limited. They can only do low paying jobs. All this traps them in an endless cycle of poverty that continues for generations.

So if you are in a position to give them a chance, now is a good time to start. You can teach them valuable skills or employ them in your business. Sometimes all one really needs is the occasion. It is that glimmer of hope that can help them break out of generational poverty.

3. Share What You Have

5. Support Causes That Benefit the Poor

There are many charities that help the poor. From local charities like Our Father’s House Soup Kitchen to national charities like the Salvation Army and Goodwill, there are tons of charities and causes you can get behind.

Like I said, you don’t have to donate millions of dollars like Warren Buffett. Anything you can spare will be a huge help – be it cash, food, clothes, books, glasses, etc. Or if you have some time, you can volunteer at your local charity or start a fundraising project.

According to some guidelines, poor in economic terms means living in poverty (not having enough money to live).

From an economic point of view, needy means being unable to obtain the basic necessities of life (food, clothing, etc.).
